MAB AB-508
Instructor Certification

Critical Care Training Center is offering Instructor Certification Program for the Management of Assaultive Behavior, also known as AB-508.

Course Contents

During this two-day course, we will give you knowledge on how to become a successful trainer and will improve your skills on delivering the MAB course. You will learn how to teach your students to de-escalate violent behavior and prevent assaults, using trusted methods of crisis negotiation and intervention.

On the first day of the course the following topics will be covered:

  • Most common teaching styles and tips for making your course successful
  • Classroom arrangements, supporting your teaching style and objectives of the course
  • Most common learning styles and techniques for successful management of your audience
  • Qualities of effective trainers and training day checklist
  • Training handouts and other resources
  • Training pitfalls and how to prevent them
  • Becoming the CCTC training site

On the second day you will learn the specifics of the MAB AB-508 course and will be given a chance to teach a portion assigned to you and have professional instructors observe, comment and guide your training delivery.

Pre-requisites

Prior to taking this course, candidates must have:

Becoming an
Instructor

Upon successful completion of the course:

You will receive Instructor Certification and will be able to become a training site for Critical Care Training Center and teach MAB AB-508 course on its behalf.
