Critical Care Training Center is proud to offer a Certificate of Completion for Critical Care Nursing. This course focuses on alternations in selected body systems that require acute and critical care nursing. It builds on previous knowledge of adult health concepts. Comprehensive nursing care of individuals and their families in acute and critical care settings is addressed and is designed to provide a knowledge base for a nurse to enter the practice of Critical Care Nursing. Case studies will be used to identify clinical issues and develop critical thinking skills.
The course aims to equip the registered nurses with essential knowledge and skills to perform effectively and efficiently in the critical care discipline, so as to ensure the delivery of safe, holistic and quality care to patients.
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number: CEP16842 for 48 contact hours
The certificate shows that the student has undertaken a comprehensive range of classes related to care of the patient. Upon completion graduates will develop the specialized skills and knowledge to become critical care nurse, and be prepared to recognize and support the unique characteristics of the critical care patient population. Requirements for the certification include six classes in the adult critical care series listed in the course outline.
Critical Care course is intended for the nurse entering the critical care or as a review for those already working in critical care department. The course emphases a body system approach incorporating case studies, pathophysiology of body system as well as a complete section on ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring will be included.
