The HHA Program is for 120 hrs. The classroom training is for 20 hours and internship is for 20 hours. The internship is held at a Nursing Home under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Home Health Aide training program for students who are currently certified Nursing Assistants. The course is designed to expand the role of a Nursing Assistant to provide quality care to patients in a home-care setting, home health aide agencies and other private entities, under the supervision of a Case Manager or a Registered Nurse.
The Home Health Aide curriculum prepares the Certified Nursing Assistant for certification as a Home Health Aide by the State of California. This certification allows the Home Health Aide to function as an entry-level worker on a health care team in a home health agency. The curriculum is structured to provide theory and practical application of knowledge and skills needed to function as a Home Health Aide.

The CNA Program is for 160 hrs. The classroom training is for 60 hours and internship is for 100 hours. The internship is held at a Nursing Home under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
CNA Program prepares an individual for employment as a nursing assistant in a health care facility. Students receive classroom and lab instruction as well as supervised clinical experience in a nursing home. The nursing assistant is responsible for assisting a client with personal care; fluid and nutrition; mobility; and elimination needs. In addition to meeting physical needs, nursing assistants also play an important role in meeting the emotional needs of clients.
The CNA Program is an opportunity to learn skills and prepare for a career in the health care filed. If you have a desire to help people, are comfortable working closely with clients while providing personal care, are willing to accept delegated tasks, and to work as a member of a team, then a career as a nursing assistant may be for you. This field of work also serves as a stepping-stone for advanced nursing or health care occupations. Employment can be found in nursing homes, hospitals and home health agencies.

When you complete your clinical training, you will take the California certification exam. The exam is administered by an independent testing organization authorized by the State of California and is given in two parts. The first part is a multiple-choice examination. The second part is a practical exam where you show the evaluator your skills. There is a separate charge for this exam paid to the administrator of the exam.
